Friendly Review : The Crown

the Margaret-centric episodes in ‘The Crown’. Season 1’s “Gelignite” didn’t really do it for you, huh? But I agree, Season 2 definitely stepped up its game with Margaret’s character. “Beryl” was such a standout episode, showcasing her growth and making her more relatable.

Now, about “Matrimonium”… I understand your mixed feelings. While it’s worth watching and has some recommendable aspects, it’s not as strong as other episodes in Season 2. The Margaret and Townsend subplot didn’t quite hit the mark, and it slowed down the episode. The pacing could have been tighter too.

But hey, let’s not forget the positives! Elizabeth’s story is compelling and full of tension and poignancy. And Margaret’s dilemma still resonated with you, right?
