Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku. It’s a great example of how these kinds of stories can still be awesome when done right. And you know what? I wouldn’t call it underrated or a hidden gem either. It’s got the recognition it deserves, and the series itself knows it too.
The short skit format definitely has its pros and cons. It helps in some ways, but it also limits the depth of the story. But hey, that doesn’t mean the series is wasting its potential. It’s intentionally kept as a lighter story with a deeper background, just scratching the surface. And you know what? That’s perfectly fine! It’s enjoyable for what it is, even if it might not be remembered for every single moment.
Sometimes, being “fine” is okay. We don’t always need something super memorable. So don’t feel sad about it. Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku is doing just fine being a fun and enjoyable series in its own right.
Oh man, I totally get where you’re coming from! It’s such a bummer when a promising anime starts off strong but ends up falling flat. I’ve been there too, getting all hyped up and then feeling let down. It’s like a rollercoaster of emotions, right?
I totally agree with you about the different parts of an anime. The beginning sets the bar high and gets us all excited, but then things start to get repetitive and monotonous in the middle. And don’t even get me started on that unexpected “boss battle” at the end! It’s like they threw it in there just for the sake of it, without really adding anything to the main story.
It’s so disappointing when our expectations are sky-high and the anime just doesn’t deliver. It’s like the author lost their way and didn’t know what to do. I feel your frustration, my friend.
